Pakistan's moral dilemma

The evil eroding the prosperity and development of my country is the menace of corruption. According to Transparency International's Corruption Index, Pakistan ranked 140 out of 180 countries in 2021. Corruption is the root cause of all other evils in society. The economy severely suffers when corruption is practiced widely in a country. The political malaises result from corruption. Pakistan is facing socio-economic and political challenges due to unbridled corruption. Most of our problems will have vanished when we nip corruption in the bud. The precarious economic condition of Pakistan, where 25 percent population lives below the poverty line, 30 percent inequality, 5 percent unemployment rate, 13 percent inflation rate, and 81 percent debt to GDP, is the cause of corruption, incompetence, and red-tapism. Our government isn't prepared to crack down on corruption. The state's enterprises and bureaucracy are rapidly burgeoning, and the private sector is shrinking. Privat...
